Virtual Army Experience

Developed for the America's Army Program Office, VAE provides participants with a virtual test drive of the United States Army. Participants employ teamwork, rules of engagement, communication, leadership, and high-tech equipment as they take part in a simulated US Army mission.

AH-64D Apache Simulator

The Apache Simulator was developed for the Army Experience Center and features a high fidelity replica of an Apache cockpit. Participants can use the Apache's three main weapon systems and use actual Apache flight controls to maneuver the helicopter through a virtual battle space. Five enormous screens display a 180 degree view of the world while five smaller displays inside the cockpit provide real time status of all the Apache's systems.

Future Soldier Trainer

Zombie has developed several applications for the America's Army Government Applications Group: Future Soldier Trainer (FST). The trainer was developed to provide a gaming experience to engage future soldiers and potential future soldiers. The application is based on the America's Army game and the Unreal game engine.

The FST is a program that, among other things, tests performance of delayed entry recruits in basic rifle marksmanship. FST is designed to measure whether or not performance can be improved by practicing on simulated ranges prior to basic training.

Convoy Trainer

The Convoy Trainer was a proof of concept designed to test efficacy of a low-cost simulator. The system uses off the shelf components - AMD64 Athlon PCs, Logitech steering wheels, Matrox video cards, LaserShot rifles and LCD projectors - to produce a 360 degree, 5.1 surround sound simulation.

Future Force Company Commander

Future Force Company Commander is a serious game developed for SAIC as a promotional game. The title is based on the Mad Doc Empire Earth II RTS game engine and features hi-def cinematics by Inhance Digital.

Other Serious Projects

Zombie Studios is currently working with the Software Engineering Directorate to develop a first aid trainer to be deployed through the JROTC program.
